Last Will and Testament of William Swarbrick dated 25th May, 1887

The text below is the abstract from a document in the Lancashire Records Office
I  Captain William Swarbrick of  Preesall Park Preesall in the County of Lancaster do hereby make this Deed of Gift of my household furniture to my Children as follows:-

For my Son William :-
             1   Spy Glass and Mahogony Case

For my Son Edward :-
             1   Mahogony Cased Clock
             1   Tobacco post with Dogs Head

For my Son John  :-
             1   Silver Case & medal
             1   Watch and parchment from the National Lifeboat Institution
             1   Painting of the picture  Wyre

For my Daughter Agnes :-
             1   Weather Glass

For my daughter Ellen
             1   Time piece
             1   Round Mahogony Stand

For Edwards Son William
             1   Fishing Rod & Wheel

The remainder of my furniture to be divided as my children think best - namely,
             1  Large Chair,  4 Kitchen Chairs & 1 Sofa,  2 Brass Candlesticks,  1 Speaking Trumpet,  1 Oil painting of Eddystone lighthouse, 1 Oil painting of my photograph, 1 Chest of Drawers, 1 Bible,  1 Mahogony Card Table, 1 Mirror Glass.

Dated this 25th day of May 1887.
